How to Apply for Blackfoot's Scholarship Program

Blackfoot Communications is committed to investing in the long-term success of our communities by supporting educational opportunities for learners of all ages. Each year, Blackfoot contributes more than $120,000 to educational initiatives in our rural cooperative service areas. Over the years, Blackfoot has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships to students pursuing their passions and contributing to their communities.
Through the Blackfoot Communications Scholarship Fund, Blackfoot's Scholarship Program provides academic scholarships of up to $2,500 to eligible students in Blackfoot Communications' Montana and Idaho cooperative service areas to help them advance their educational goals.
Program Criteria and Guidelines
Applicants must:
- Reside within an eligible Blackfoot Communications cooperative service area
- Have a parent or guardian who is a current Blackfoot Communications residential customer in Montana or Idaho
- Attend or plan to attend a college or university, vocational school, or trade school
- Submit a complete application by April 15, 2027

Review and Selection
- Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements for Blackfoot's Scholarship Program
- Submission of an application does not guarantee an award
- Applications will be reviewed as part of Blackfoot's scholarship selection process
- Additional information or documentation may be requested during the review process
Before You Submit Your Application
- Use your personal email address instead of your school email address
- Complete every required question marked with an asterisk (*)
- Review your responses for accuracy and completeness
- Carefully review your contact information, including your email address and phone number
- Complete all required essay or short-answer questions
- Upload any required supporting information or documentation
- Submit your application by April 15, 2027
Application updates will be sent to the email address provided in your application.
What Happens Next
After submitting your application, watch for a confirmation email from @email.submittable.com. Blackfoot will review your application and respond by email. If you do not receive a confirmation or update, check your Junk or Spam folder.
Application Troubleshooting
For the best experience, use Google Chrome on a Mac or Windows computer. If your application will not submit:
- Confirm all required fields are complete
- Save your application, sign out, and close your browser
- Reopen your browser, log back in, and reopen the application
- Select Submit and watch for a confirmation email
